Great app, perfect spot to get Archie Comics

The Archie Comics reader is a good app. It’s easy to get to all kinds of books and easy to read them. I, like many others on here, recently updated (you don’t really get a choice - they lock the app and force you to update) and proceeded to lose free comics I had previously downloaded to my phone. And, like many others on here, I left a poor review. I also emailed them directly to let them know I was upset. I was pleasantly surprised when they quickly made contact with me, asked what books I had lost, and gifted them to me in the cloud. It would be nice if the updates didn’t cause us to lose things currently on our device. And maybe the newest update will fix that glitch. But it is nice to know that they took my concern seriously and made a conscious effort to make things right. So until I know the glitch has been permanently fixed, I have to assume it’s still there, and dock the app for it. But for the customer service I received, I give points back. So for now, three stars. If the problem gets fixed, I’ll go four.

Not sure what the bad reviews are about. Just like any other service, your books are stored in the cloud and can access them anytime. Ive never had an issue. Ever. Losing my books. About the free stuff -- do you see any ads that are annoying and popping up to interrupt you while you read on the app? No. No ads means they have to make revenue for charging money for content. You cant have an exceptional experience and access to everything, then expect it to all be free.

The new version isnt designed as well as the previous version and once you upgrade, all of your comics are gone. Seriously disappointed with the upgrade here.

I really dont want this app to reach its end ever. I really love it. On the other comic app which was deleted months ago which was the sonic comics app, and I was so disappointed that day. So please keep this app alive, its so easier than just wasting gas, trying to find the comic you want around the world.

I love the app! And to all of you who are upset about losing your comics, I too had lost all my comics thanks to the update. But when I put my phone in airplane mode they returned. Hope this helps

I love this app Becuz Archie comics r my fav but u dont spend any money on it. There should be more free comics. Other than that its great!

Poorly designed interface. Can never easily download the UNLIMITED books that I pay a lot of money for on a monthly subscription. Now this new app is trying to charge me for everything I want to read even though the monthly unlimited fee just got sucked out of my card a week ago. I love reading Archies but this app makes it too frustrating and no longer worth it. Im going back to the actual paper books!! I dont like this new app. Its just not easy to use. Not designed well, its not intuitive enough. Too many unknowns.

I enjoy this app a lot!

When is the next update? Because when I try to read a comic it wont let me no matter how many times I tap the read button.

I never thought such a classic company would be first-movers in digital. Read about it on cbr so I thought Id check it out. Kudos to them with the rebrand, subscription pay WITH day-and-date single issues... and digital exclusive stuff that is cheap. The store is cool visually and fun to browse.

Very sorry I updated this app. Have bought several magazines and had them all on my device to read when away from Internet. New app only lets me have six mags on device at a time and doesnt offer any better reading experience.. Only subjects me to more ads trying to sell me more mags that I no longer feel I own since they limit number I can have on device. When I transferred my mags to new app, I also lost a few mags that were originally free. All in all, this upgrade was not for my benefit but for theirs. This is why I dont like the cloud method of holding my purchases. One more step to rip people off under the disguise of making it better.... better for who?

On the old app I bought 2 Archies when I tried to sync it on the new app it didnt work u want a refund of the Archies or to be able to have the 2 Archies on the new app I dont want to have both they will just waste space

This app is a horrible upgrade. It erases all of downloads, going screen to screen is so uncoordinated, and once you download your comics the selection screen is very slow and loose. Bring back the old app. There was nothing wrong with it.

At first this app has lots of problems, but now they fixed it and the support site of Archie is very responsive. Loved this app.

The new app is a little clunkier in terms of page navigation and organization, but is coming along. Support has been great about getting issues sorted out in a timely manner.
