Decent app (with a caveat)

The Archie Comics reader is a good app. It’s easy to get to all kinds of books and easy to read them. I, like many others on here, recently updated (you don’t really get a choice - they lock the app and force you to update) and proceeded to lose free comics I had previously downloaded to my phone. And, like many others on here, I left a poor review.

I also emailed them directly to let them know I was upset. I was pleasantly surprised when they quickly made contact with me, asked what books I had lost, and gifted them to me in the cloud.

It would be nice if the updates didn’t cause us to lose things currently on our device. And maybe the newest update will fix that glitch. But it is nice to know that they took my concern seriously and made a conscious effort to make things right.

So until I know the glitch has been permanently fixed, I have to assume it’s still there, and dock the app for it. But for the customer service I received, I give points back. So for now, three stars. If the problem gets fixed, I’ll go four.
